Event Description
This event was re-scheduled from Sept 3, due to forecast rain. We could be there in the rain, but the public would not be there.
Troop 54 will set up a model camp site in Elm Park with a fun activity for visiting kids.
The Boy Scouts will give members of the public tips on:
- Siting and setting up tents.
- Purifying water on backwoods camping trips.
- Different types of stoves.
- Preventing the spread of pests into our forests..
Prospective Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts and their parents can learn about Pack 54 and Troop 54.
Boy Scouts should bring any food they want to eat.
Neither flames nor tent stakes are permitted in Elm Park.
Schedule
12:45 - 1:00 PM - Set up the model camp site.
1:00 - 4:00 PM - Run the event.
4:00 - 4:15 PM - Take down the site and clean up.
Registration
There is no fee or permission slip for this event.
Travel
Elm Park is located on Park Avenue, between Highland Street and Elm Street.
We will meet at the park, near the playground at 12:45.
