To join Troop 54, we suggest that you visit a meeting and meet some of our members.
Open House is the best time to visit, however, you can stop by almost any meeting. This year's Open House is September 15, 2009 at 7:00 PM. On other days, please call first to ensure that we are meeting in our usual place and time. You can contact:

To join, you will complete a Youth Application (available only in hard copy).
The initial registration fee is about $45-50 (depends on the prices of items we purchase) and includes some of the items you need to get started. We supply the Scout Handbook, several patches (Council shoulder strip, Scout patch, troop numerals), troop hat, shoulder loops, neckerchief and neckerchief slide.
You will need to purchase the remaining uniform items: pants, shirt, belt.
Continuing registration is $45 per year in thirds.
Other fees depend on which activities you participate in. Most camping trips involve paying for a share of the food, while some also involve a registration fee. Summer camp is typically about $300 for one week. There are some other expenses. For example, completing a merit badge generally involves purchasing a merit badge booklet.
Scouting encourages family involvement. Your parents are welcome to become leaders in the Troop.
