Francis Carraher

Francis "Frank" X. Carraher was an Assistant Scoutmaster in Troop 54 as early as 19691 and as late as 19762.

Mr. Carraher also served at some point as Cubmaster of Pack 54 while it was at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Worcester.

Mr. Carraher was awarded the Silver Beaver in 1963.3

Mr. Carraher had five sons (William, Francis, Thomas, Richard and Joseph), all of whom were Boy Scouts in Troop 54. William T. Carraher, Francis X. Carraher Jr., and Thomas R. Carraher attained the rank of Eagle Scout in 1970, 1971 and 1973, respectively.3

Mr. Carraher served in the US Army in the Korean War.3

Professionally, Mr. Carraher was an educator. At one point, he was principal of Nelson Place School. He retired as Supervisor of Curriculum and Development in the Worcester Public Schools.3

Mr. Carraher died on January 31, 2005, at the age of 74.3
