Troop 54 will climb Crow Hill at Leominster State Forest, guided by Vertical World Adventures. This will start with instruction in use of climbing gear. The major activity will be top roping up a suitable face.
Participants in this activity should meet at the church at 7:00 AM in order to get to the entrance to the emergency access road to the climbing area by 8:00 AM. The anticipated time back at the cars is 3:30 PM.
A few notes:
- There is no age requirement.
- Vertical World Adventures is providing all the necessary equipment. Those who have their own equipment can use it, as long as it is in good shape (safe).
The registration fee is $40/person (Scouts and adults). We need a minimum of 5 people signed up and paid by October 28 to confirm this event. Last registration is November 4.
Each participant needs to complete the Vertical World Adventures Registation Form, available as a Word file or PDF file.
This activity is conducted in conjunction with the Boyle's Brook Camping Trip. Members of the Troop can participate in one or both of these events. Participants in both should proceed directly to the campout after climbing.
