Saturday, December 5 -
During the day on Saturday we will visit the Mashantucket Pequot Museum and Research Center in Mashantucket, CT. As decided by the participating Scouts, we have signed up for the "Petroglyphs: Images in Stone" workshop.
After the museum, we will head to the Narrangansett Council's Camp Yawgoog in Rockville, RI, for overnight camporee-style tenting at its Anthony Acres Tent Area. This is not a backpacking trip. Cars will be able to reach the camp site, so patrols can plan to use heavy gear, such as Dutch ovens if they like.
$11/Scout (museum and workshop admission) - bring to December 1 troop meeting, checks to "BSA Troop 54".
Permission Slip - bring to the December 1 troop meeting.
Scouts who are only able to attend the museum portion of the outing should contact Assistant Scoutmaster Sycks to coordinate transportation.
8:00 AM SAT - Meet at Immaculate Conception Church
All vehicles and drivers need to be included on our tour permit. For any driver or vehicle not previously listed on a tour permit, provide information on these to the Scoutmaster using our Tour Permit Information form. Adults staying overnight must have a current CORI on file with the Mohegan Council. This information is needed by December 1.
